}}Loose Joints is an independent art and photography publishing house and design studio that edits, sequences and designs books with emerging contemporary artists and cultural institutions. The publisher was founded in 2015 in London by artists and designers Lewis Chaplin and Sarah Piegay Espenon.[1]

Loose Joints takes part in various art book fairs, showcasing new titles, participating in talks, and organising artist book signings. These annual fairs include Offprint London in May; the NY Art Book Fair, in September; Bound Art Book Fair, in October and Offprint Paris in November. Loose Joints has published books by Samara Scott, Harley Weir, Bobby Doherty, Oliver Griffin, Bharat Sikka, Marton Perlaki, Sean Vegezzi and others.

Since 2018, Loose Joints hosts a monthly radio show on Know Wave talking about arts and publishing with artists, publishers, designers, writers and curators.[2]

Community and charitable projects

With the need to raise awareness and funds, Loose Joints worked alongside British artist Harley Weir to release Homes, a book of photographs made within the migrant and refugee camps of Calais in October 2016. Homes documents the domestic structures of the camp immediately before and during the clearing of these provisional settlements.[3]

All proceeds were donated to La Cimade, a French charity committed to protecting and defending the human rights of refugees and migrants.
