Lucas Sergio Cervigni (born April 13, 1982) is an Argentinean, author, TV host, business executive, consultant and speaker, who specializes in Distributed Ledger Technologies, international business strategy, organisational transformation and the role of technology in business and society. He is the founder and CEO of New Economies LTD and the co-founder and Executive Chairman of the Andorran Blockchain Institute.^[2]

Career

Cervigni became one of the pioneers of web development in Argentina back in 1998. At the age of 12 he started programming websites in HTML and in 1996 founded Focus Dominion, an internet listing website for IT professionals. In June 2000 he was invited by Jeff Bezos to the Macromedia Web World Conference in Seattle, where his team won the "Flash 4 a Cause" award. Cervigni and his father got a licence to distribute Macromedia products in Latin America until 2003.

From 2004 to 2010, Cervigni was managing IT services in Telefonica de Argentina, where he was responsible for the SLA of the networks of Argentina's largest banks (Banco Provincia, Banco Nacion, Banco Credicoop).

In 2009, he founded DonemosJuntos.org the first NGO Social Network, which later was merged with the network "QuieroAyudar.org" and participated as an angel investor of Idea.me (a crowdfunding portal for Latin-America) in the effort to unify both CrowdFunding and the NGO sector.

In 2014 he founded real estate crowdfunding company ClickBricks ("Buying Bricks with Clicks")

In 2014, he got in contact with the Distributed Ledger Fundamentals and the BitCoin. In 2015 he actively participated in the Fermat Proyect, that lead to the development and first prototype of The Internet of People(IOP) together with futurist Luis Molina.

Cervigni understood that one of the possible solutions for the future of electronic assets was blockchain. His research concluded in the BrickCoin manifesto, published in November 2015^[5]. The BrickCoin manifesto(which states the issues of Global Financial Fragility and a possible solution through the tokenisation of assets like real estate) received enormous academic, professional and governmental support.

In June 2016, Cervigni joined efforts with NY entrepreneur Rick Willard to launch a Blockchain Fostering Institute in the UK^[14][15][16], the Agentic Group. Since then, he has advised the teams of Ripple, Koibanx, Augur, Internet of People (IOP), Fermat, Digipharm, Jasper Foundation, Platon Finance and many others.

In 2016^[17] he authored and published: Blockchain in Practice, a introductory book to Distributed Ledger Technologies for non-technical people.

During the World Economic Forum Week at Davos 2017, Cervigni was recognised as one of the worlds 30 most influential people in Blockchain.

TV

During 2015, Cervigni hosted and produced the Show “Reglas Del Exito” (YouTube - ReglasDelExito). During the first 3 years, he interviewed +200 of the most successful Latin American athletes, entrepreneurs, sports coaches, politicians, doctors, actors, adventurers and music stars.

In 2018, pursuing the effort to bring Blockchain and DLTs to the big media, he Founded NewEconomies.com, the premiere TV program for the Blockchain Industry, recorded at Nasdaq Times Square Studios in New York^[18] and in the London Stock Exchange Studios, later co-hosted with futurist Alice Hlidkova.

Cervigni and Hlidkova started collaborating with the Blockchain Initiative in the Principality of Andorra, which lead to the incorporation of the Andorran Blockchain Institute in January 2019.
