Lunag Ri is a mountain in the Rolwaling Himal range in Nepal[1]. it is coasted by the Lunag glacier and the north face is part of the Nangpai Gosum Glacier accumulation zone[2]. The mountain is notorious for its few successful climbing attempts and was only conquered in 2018[3]. Climbing History
Lama and American mountaineer Conrad Anker attempted the mountain twice before; in November 2015 and again in 2016[4]. During the latter attempt, Anker suffered a heart attack while climbing and had to be evacuated by helicopter[4]. Following the incident, Anker put an end to his climbing in what he calls the "hurt locker" of high-altitude mountaineering[4]. See also
