The film stars Akash and Janaki in lead roles.[1][2] PlotMaayabimbum (English: Illusion Image) is an Tamil (Indian) film. Its an equal proportion of love, friendship and family-based drama. ProductionDevelopmentDirector K.J. Surendar wrote a realistic script without any compromise, keeping it in mind he was very sure that the film must be cast with new faces. So that only it will give the real life feel on the screen. After narrating the story to many producers, who were very much impressed and ready to do the film but with some conditions, that is to cast with known faces as lead and supporting roles. Director was very keen in his stand because, new faces is the script's demand and using known faces will not be convincing for the overall product. So he refused those offers and started his own Company named Selfstart Productions, which gives the meaning by the name itself. FilimingThe film was shot in crowded real locations, like roads, bus stands, beaches, or temples in Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Thanjavur and Pudhukottai. A root bridge was erected in between two hills for a very important sequence, and the root bridge itself plays a crucial role in the film. After too many hurdles, the shoot was completed, and the movie is now ready for release. Cast
