It is located between the National Highway 744 and the Main Central Road. The closest cities are Anchal and Punalur. The village is also close to Kadakkal, an agricultural village known for its spice production and the site of the Kadakkal Devi Temple.[3] Trivandrum formerly known as Thiruvananthapuram is {{convert|65|km}} from Mannoor and is the closest airport[4]. Kollam (Quilon), which is the district headquarters, is {{convert|46|km}} away. HistoryThis village saw an influx of new settlements in early 19th century. There is a lot about the history of this village in local Malayalam literature that needs to be corroborated. Of the current inhabitants, the Brahmin house of Pillai moved to Mannoor first during this period. This was followed by settlements of Keezhathil, Thadathil, Edayila veedu, Cherukkattu houses. ReligionChristianity and Hinduism are most prevalent religions in this village. The new settlers in early 19th century established the Cherukkattu St. Mary's Orthodox Church, which is one of the oldest churches in this village and was built on the land donated by the Keezhathil house. Subsequent settlements led to the establishment of the Salem Marthoma Church and the Brethren Church were established. The present St. George Malankara Catholic Church was established soon after. The major Hindu temples of worship are located around Mannoor. Athyshyamangalam Devi Temple and Kuthirapanthi Devi Temple are few of the more prominent of them. ClimateMannoor experiences a tropical climate with little seasonal variation in temperatures. December-March is the dry season with less than 65mm of rain in each of those months.
