She made her debut for the Denmark national team in 2014.
In 2018 Lindholm was named Faroese Football Player of the Year, was the top scorere for her team EBS/Skála and made most assists in the leauge. She also won Betri Deildin and the leauge cup with EBS/Skála in 2017 and 2018 before departing for Denmark in January 2019.[1]
Club career
Early career in B68/NSÍ
Born in Saltnes, Faroe Islands, Lindholm started playing football in the local club B68. She grew up in B68 and in 2011 played for the best team witch was a joined team with NSÍ.Only 15 years old she played 8 matches and scored 5 goals. The following year, her team B68/NSÍ went up to the Betri Deildin, where she played 15 matches and scored 4 goals. B68/NSÍ got 9 possisition out of 10 teams in 2012.
EBS/Skála
2013–2014: First-team squad
In 2013, EB/Streymur and Skála put there best women teams together to make a better joint team. Lindholm made a transfer from B68/NSÍ to EBS/Skála in the sommer 2013. She made her debut 18 Agust against HB. Lindholm scored her first goal in the second match against ÍF 1 September. This first year she played 6 matches and scored 2 goals. EBS/Skála ended 2, and KÍ won the league.
In 2014 she got a start possition in every game and played 19 matches and scored 12 goals. She made her first hattrick against B36 on 8 Oktober. EBS/Skála ended 2, and KÍ won the league.
2015–2017: Breakthrough years
Lindholm began the 2015 season well, scoring in the first game of the season on 1 Mars 2015 in an away victory over ÍF.[2] Lindholm played 20 games this year and scored 17 goals. She made one hattrick scoring 4 goals against AB/B36 on 9 September 2015. Thsi year EBS/Skála was in the Cup final on 29 Agust 2015 against KÍ. They lost the final 2-1. In the league EBS/Skála also ended 2, and KÍ won.
In the 2016 season Lindholm now was the one of the profile of the team. This year she played 22 games and scored 22 goals, that made her the top scorer for her team. She scroed no less than 5 hattrick this year. EBS/Skála endet 2 again in 2016, and KÍ won the league.
In 2017 Lindholm played 23 games and scored 12 goals. This year EBS/Skála got Heidi Sevdal from HB, making Lindholm playing out of her best possition. This also resultet in the worst year for Lindholm since arriving at EBS/Skála. But for the team this was the best year, playing the Cup final on 9 September against HB, and winning 2-3. EBS/Skála also won the league for the first time after a 2-2 draw against KÍ in the last match of the year.
In 2018 Lindholm played as a full playmaker, where she the other yars played as an midfielder/striker. This possition was the best ever for Lindholm, and the 2018 season was the crown on her years in Faroese football. She played 26 games and scored 21 goals, but also made 22 assist (Only in the league). EBS/Skála played the Cup final at Tórsvøllur on 25 August. EBS/Skála scored an early goal from Hummeland in the 7'. In 34' S.Johannesen got a red card after a shot from Sevdal got in her hand. HB also got a penalty that made it 1-1. EBS/Skála was under pressuer the rest of the game, but Lindholm played a verry good game, and after dribbel 4 HB players she got a freekick. Lindholm took the freekick her self, and this was an extraordinary freekick goal. EBS/Skála won the final 2-1 and Lindholm was named player of the match.
Denmark
2019: 3F League introduction
On 30 January 2019, 3F League club XXX announced that they had completed the transfer of Lindholm from EBS/Skála.[3] The 3F league starts in 16 Mars 2019, and then Lindholm will get her debut. She will also play in UEFA Champions League with XXX in 2019.
International career
Youth squads
Eriksen was called up to the Denmark national under-17 football team in July 2007,[4] and impressed in his debut for the team on 31 July.[5] In 2008, he scored nine goals in 16 games for the U-17s, and was named Danish U-17 Talent of the Year by the Danish FA.[6] He was also one of four nominees for the 2008 Danish Talent of the Year award,[7] which was won by Mathias Jørgensen.[6] He played 27 games for the under-17 team until February 2009. He played a total of eight games for the Denmark U-18 and Denmark U-19 teams during 2009. Eriksen was also called up for the Danish U-21 squad to the European championship in Denmark in 2011, the Danish team only participated in the group stage and Eriksen scored a goal against Belarus.
Senior squad
Eriksen received his first senior Denmark call-up in February 2010,[8] making his debut in Denmark's friendly match against Austria in March,[9] to become Denmark's fourth youngest full international, being the youngest debutant since Michael Laudrup.[10]
On 28 May 2010, Denmark coach Morten Olsen announced that Eriksen would be part of the final squad of 23 participating in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.[11] He was the youngest player participating in the tournament.[12][13] At the World Cup, Eriksen played two matches, against the Netherlands and Japan, but Denmark were unable to progress beyond the group stage.[14][15]
On 9 February 2011, in a 2–1 friendly loss at home against England, Eriksen was named man of the match, and was praised for his performance by a number of prominent footballing figures, including Chelsea star Frank Lampard,[16] Man Utd star Rio Ferdinand (on Twitter),[17] manager Morten Olsen and several media experts in Denmark and England.[18] On 4 June 2011, Eriksen scored his first national team goal to give Denmark a 2–0 lead over Iceland in their Euro 2012 qualifier. In doing so, he became the youngest Danish player ever to score a goal in European qualification, being nine days younger than Michael Laudrup when he scored his first goal in 1983.[19]
