| 释义 | María Cristina Azcona was born on April 5th,1952 in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she currently resides. She is a professional educator and thinker on peace issues, with an international profile. She is also a bilingual translator, editor, writer and poet in Spanish and English. She has published numerous books in Spanish and English, mostly poetry and essays on peace. At the age 4, she entered primary school at Mallinckrodt Institute for ladies and then at 16 graduated as a Teacher. She is also internationally recognized as a bilingual writer and editor, in both English and Spanish languages. She has co-authored the UNESCO virtual EOLSS encyclopedia since 2005 and her books on peace, art and literature. She is well known as peace ambassador and as President and co-founder of several NGOs focused on the multicultural construction of peace bridges in Argentina, Israel, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, USA, Russia, India, among other countries. She is the President and Founder of the Worldwide peace Organization (WWPO). Ambassador of Peace for Mil Millennia of Peace and PEA-Peace, Ecology and Art (MMP). Universal Ambassador of Peace in the Circle of Peace ambassadors, Switzerland. Director at the International Forum of Literature and Culture of Peace in South America. (IFLAC). Honorary President and Co-founder of United Nations of the Letters of Colombia.
