He grew up on the mission field in Spain and came to Moody Bible Institute at the age of 17. At 21, Dr. Jobe and a small congregation of 18 people began meeting on the Southwest side of Chicago with the mission to reach people from all walks of life with the gospel. The church has grown to more than 5,000 members meeting at 27 locations throughout Chicagoland, including eight cities internationally.[1] EducationHe holds a diploma in Communications from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago (1984), a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from Columbia International University, a Master of Arts in Ministry from Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago (1998), and a doctorate in Transformational Leadership for the Global City from Bakke Graduate University. MinistryIn addition to pastoral ministry, Dr. Jobe founded New Life Centers in 2005, an organization that creates programs for underserved communities in Chicago focusing on youth violence, gang violence, teen pregnancy, justice system involvement, and unemployment. He is also the Moody Publishers’ author of Unstuck: Out of Your Cave into Your Call, and hosts the daily radio program Straight Talk on Moody Radio Chicago 90.1 FM.
