Dr. Mark McLaughlin is the current superintendent for the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Dr. McLaughlin earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California Lutheran University, a Master’s degree in Education with an Emphasis in School Administration from Azusa Pacific University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Montana-Western.[1]. Before he joined the CVUSD in 2013, Dr. McLaughlin worked for the Fontana Unified School District as the Director of Certificated Human Resources and worked in FUSD as a teacher and administrator at both the elementary and secondary levels[2]. Dr. McLaughlin served as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for CVUSD from 2013 until spring 2017, when he was announced as the Interim Superintendent. He became the Superintendent in November 2017. As the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, he supervised the placement of staff for 27 schools, as well as District office level positions. Last summer, Dr. McLaughlin collaborated with the community to help develop the Conejo Valley Learning Center (CVLC) relocation project report[3].
