I don't know if the subject is notable on her own or not. The problem here is this article is a mish-mosh of information about Tellado and information about Consumer Reports. If this is going to be a biography, you should make it about Tellado and lose all the extraneous information about her employer. Obviously, you'll need to mention CR, but make this about the person. -- RoySmith (talk) 03:42, 17 November 2018 (UTC)}}

Marta Lourdes Tellado is the current President and Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Reports, an independent, mission driven nonprofit organization.[1][2]

Early life and career

Tellado came to America from Cuba at the age of three as a political refugee with her family.[3] After completing her undergraduate degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Tellado went to Public Citizen’s Congress Watch.[3] Tellado continued her education at Yale University, securing a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Political Science. [4][5] She then worked with Senator Bill Bradley, as director of issues and outreach and advisor on social policy. [3][6]

Between 2004 to 2014 Tellado served as vice president for global communications at the Ford Foundation. She left her role to become President and Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Reports in 2014.[1][7] Tellado was recognized by Folio magazine as a Change-Maker in their 2018 Top Women in Media group.[8] She was also named one of the Folio: 100 honorees in 2018.[9]
