Martin Cradick[1][2][3], was the founder of the band Outback along with Graham Wiggins (aka Dr Didg). Outback spearheaded a new fusion of world music and were signed by Joe Boyd. Martin studied at Oxford before embarking on a career as a musician. It was at Oxford he developed a friendships with fellow band members. In [4]Martin stayed with an indigenous tribe in Africa, the Baka people of Central Cameroon[5]. He since then has formed a long standing relationship with this nomadic tribe returning regularly to live with the Baka and record / document their music music. This music is unique an an integral part of the Baka way of life. The money generated from these royalties is then used for projects that the Baka themselves decided on. Martin returns to administer royalties or oversee projects. Gati Bongo, recorded by Martin (by the Orchestre Baka Gbine - Baka musicians) made it to the top 10 in the iTunes music charts. Martin, inspired by the Baka, then founded Baka Beyond (1992), with partner and vocalist Su Hart.
