His first big win was the 2014 Arnold Amateur Classic, this meant he was invited to the Arnold Pro Classic the following year where he placed 3rd, the same year he came first at Poland's Strongest Man 2015. He has since competed in many professional strongman competitions, including Europe's Strongest Man 2016 and 2018, where he finished 4th and 3rd respectively. Despite being reletively new to the pro strongman scene and only 25 years old, he has competed at World's Strongest Man 4 times already from 2015-2018. His most notable achievement at Worlds Strongest Man was finishing in 2nd place behind Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson. In this contest he proved he was stronger than some great strongmen such as Žydrūnas Savickas and Brian Shaw. Whilst he has had great success in such a short amount of time, it has been said that he does too many competitions and his body will not be able to cope with it for very long. Mateusz holds the world record in the Circus Dumbbell lift, where he pressed a 150kg/330lbs giant dumbell over his head using just one arm.
