Matthew Washington is the Deputy Borough President of Manhattan. He was raised in and resides in East Harlem, and was the chair of Manhattan Community Board 11 for 6 years. Before joining the Manhattan Borough President's office led by Gale Brewer, he was the Deputy Director of External Affairs at the Durst Organization.^[1]
