Mawingu Networks is an African wireless internet service provider offering affordable web access to non-urban populations using innovative radio technologies including TV white space.^[1]. The company is backed by Microsoft and has served more than 100,000 customers since its founding in 2013. Barack Obama credited the company with "providing low-cost broadband" at scale^[2]^[3]
