| 释义 | Mid yell church, Shetland (also known as St. John’s church) is the forma church of the mid yell parish. The church has also a church hall on the land it sits (no graves surround it). The church / hall has recently been sold off by the Church of Scotland and is now domestic. Built in 18.32 and church hall in 18.42 it is a big landmark for mid yell with views of it from all surrounding areas. The final service was in may of 2017 (no public access), the church / hall both grade c listed buildings due to the age or and popularity of the buildings especially the main church because it contains plaques from both of the wars (and some others witch are not as widely talked about). The grounds are in the central part of mid yell, lesure centre / school is opposite it and from it you can see the road bend to go towards the lesure centre / school or the other direction (south) to south yell. |
