CareerProfessional FootballMike played professional football abroad in Germany when he was taken to Stuttgart by ex-German International Hansi Mueller in 1997. Mike trialled with VFB Stuttgart, Stuttgart Kickers, Unterhaching, Waldhov Mannheim and signed with Ludwigsburg, Sonnenhof Grossaspach and also FC Schaffhausen in Switzerland. Mike trained regularly alongside German centre-forward Fredi Bobic during his time living in Germany. Kevin Keegan set up pre-season training for Mike at Crystal Palace during his time back home in the summer and the following season Mike did the same at Charlton Athletic FC. At the end of his playing career, he was also selected to play for the England Futsal team under Graeme Dell at a time when England was starting to have some success against other nations. Football ChoreographyMike started choreographing football commercials in 2002 for Nike, Carling and other brands. He was often hired as the football skills specialist for on set and was called into meetings with production teams and ad agencies to discuss the key action. He had worked with a number of clients both in front of and behind the camera. These include; Mercedes, Guinness, Mars, Coca-Cola, Nike, Puma, Umbro, Pepsi, Irn Bru, Heineken, Nissan, UEFA, Adidas, Carlsberg, Nivea, Samsung, Sony. Mike's film credits include the film 'Believe'- a fictional story about Sir Matt Busby running a kids team and more recently, Catacombe- filmed in Holland. In the last 10 years, Mike has worked on the majority of global Adidas campaigns featuring football action and has worked with their main assets on the shoots throughout this time. The list includes David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Paul Pogba, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale, Mesut Ozil, Kaka, Mo Salah, Lionel Messi. On campaigns away from Adidas, Mike has choreographed Cristiano Ronaldo, Carles Puyol, Eric Cantona, Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero and Brazilians- Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos. Football CoachingMike first started football coaching while on work experience at the age of 14 at a leisure centre in Catford. He was inspired to become a qualified FA coach which he did through the Crystal Palace FC community coaching scheme. In May 1998, Mike set up his own soccer academy. The academy reaches people in the Orpington area. Camps also run abroad in Austria and have also taken place in Germany and China.
