Mike OchosaMichaele Betchayda Ochosa is a Filipino boxing analyst and freelance sports writer. CareerOchosa is a freelance analyst calling boxing matches for various Philippine networks such as Solar Sports, GMA-7,and AKTV, as well as for radio with DZBB 594. He co-produced and hosted a boxing television show called “Punchout” which aired on Solar Sports and C/S9 in 2009. In the same year, Ochosa was tapped by Viva Entertainment to host a boxing tutorial DVD also entitled “Punchout.”[1] It was co-hosted by Valerie Concepcion[2]. Analyst for Pacquiao fightsOchosa is the resident ringside analyst for Manny Pacquiao fights on Solar Sports. He was at the historic meeting between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas[3] wherein “Pretty Boy” walked away with a unanimous decision victory. He has likewise called fights of other Filipino world boxing champions such as Brian Viloria and Nonito Donaire Jr. Boxing Analyst for Ringstar BoxingIn 2017, Ochosa was the ringside analyst for Ringstar Boxing’s Roar of Singapore 3. In April 2018, he sat alongside international commentators Mike Angove of Sky Sports and former cruiserweight world champion, Glenn McRory as ringside analyst for Roar of Singapore 4. The boxing card was carried by Fox Sports and Fight Sports. In September of the same year, Ochosa took the commentary chores of Roar of Singapore 5 along with Mike Angove and Andrew Whitelaw[4].
