Mikey Hutchinson, who was born and raised in Gouyave, St. John, Grenada, surfaced in the public arena upon participating in the Junior Calypso Monarch in 1994. In 1996, he won the competition. Since then he has been in the public’s eyes – participating in several competitions and cultural events. Mikey attended the Happy Hill Secondary School and later TA Marryshow Community College. It is then he became involved in audiovisual production and radio broadcast. Work HistoryDuring the period 2001 to 2003 Mikey hosted his first radio show on the then popular Spice Capital Radio. Upon completing college in that year, he applied to Wee FM Radio, a radio station which was then operating in his home town, Gouyave. He started working the following day. To date Mikey remains an employee at Wee FM Radio. He has since broadened his scope while being there. He currently works as a broadcaster and management representative at Wee Fm. He also hosts his own current affairs and news show named Mikey Live. The show is broadcast daily, Monday to Friday at 9:00pm on Facebook, Youtube and Cable TV Channels 10 and 11. Mikey also owns his own marketing company, Digital Media Solutions. His company currently manages the social media pages of 27 different brands locally and internationally.
