Dr Miliama Simeona and Dr Nese Ituaso-Conway were the first Tuvaluan female doctors.[1] She is the Executive Director of the Tuvalu Family Health Association, which is a non-government organization that operates on a not for profit basis. The Tuvalu Family Health Association works with the Tuvaluan Ministry of Health to improve family health in Tuvalu through the provision of information and services. It provides advocacy for improving the quality of sexual and reproductive health services, including the reduction in HIV/AIDS incidence in Tuvalu.
