Mira Kaddoura (born January 8, 1977 in Alexandria, Egypt) is a Lebanese-Canadian conceptual artist and founder of creative and strategy agency [https://redandco.com Red & Co.] in Portland, Oregon, USA. She is known for her work on Nike, P&G, The Girl Effect[1], Netflix, and Google’s Made with Code. In addition, her conceptual projects, like the [https://www.thewonderclock.com/ Wonder Clock App], have tested cultural assumptions around feminism and biology.[2][3][4][5]

Kaddoura grew up in Lebanon and studied design at the American University in Beirut and received a masters in communication from Virginia Commonwealth University.[6] She began her advertising career at Wieden & Kennedy’s global headquarters in Portland, Oregon as an intern, quickly rising to the role of art director. During her tenure she created much-awarded work[7][8] for Nike (I Feel Pretty, [https://redandco.com/work/body-parts Body Parts]) and Proctor and Gamble’s (the Olympic Moms campaign).

In 2012, Kaddoura left Wieden & Kennedy to start her own creative and strategy agency, [https://redandco.com Red & Co.], named for her trademark halo of curly auburn hair. As Executive Creative Director at Red & Co., she has created Netflix’s [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hx7Nbm_px1c Make Room diversity film], as well as Made with Code, a project designed to get 1 million girls to write their first line of code, but which has since created 10 million coders, becoming an entire department at Google.[9] [https://redandco.com Red & Co.] has also worked with clients like Adidas, Google, Uber, and Lululemon, and has created projects like [https://feelm.com Feelm], an app that allows you to find films to watch based on what you feel like watching, rather than by genre, and [https://happysexface.com HappySexFace], a line of sex-positive products.

Kaddoura is a loud voice for women and diversity and has been interviewed numerous times about women-founded agencies and the benefits of creating diverse and equitable workplaces.[10][11][12] She has been featured in magazine interviews about creativity, feminism, and advertising, and can be seen in her TED talk, “[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIKzDTrvV1c How Women Can Change the World by Asking ‘Why Not Me’?]” and on Creative Mornings.[13] She serves as a board member for the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art (Pica) and the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation.
