Founded by Jackson Singleton and Monet Makohoniuk, the two writers of the group, formed Modern Monet in 2017. They often appear with their cello player, Jean-Paul Barjon. Their main focuses with the band are song craft, melodies and memorable guitar licks. Jackson Singleton was previously member of the Universal signed group, Harletson which broke up in early 2017 after their first tour where they were the opening act for Sabrina Carpenter.
