The Mooresville Times was a bi-weekly newspaper published in Mooresville, Indiana in Morgan County, United States of America. The First edition of the Mooresville Times was issued on January 16, 1905[1]. It was an independent Republican Party journal that was edited and published by William H. Sage. Sage purchased the Mooresville Guide and changed the name to the Mooresville Times. Sage retired in January 1929 and sold the paper to S.L. Walls. In April 1930, Walls sold the Mooresville Times to C. C. and G. H. Davis, who in turn sold out to Robert B. Pickard three months later. Everett Moore and Margaret S. Moore became the owners of the Mooresville Times in September 1933. James L. Richardson and his son James L. Richardson Jr. acquired the Mooresville Times in September 1937. Richard R. Dodd purchased the Mooresville Times in July 1946, and in December 1948, he sold it to the Hahn-Bennett Company headed by Mr. and Mrs. Bennett and Miss Marjorie Hahn. In October 1953, S.M. and R.N. Johnson brought the Mooresville Times from the Hahn-Bennett Company, during this time Helen J. Lilly was the editor. R.N. Johnson sold the Mooresville Times to Robert F. Adams and his wife Margaret R. Adams in August 1954. The Reporter Publishing Company, owned and operated by president and principal owner Wilber Kendall, purchased controlling interest in the Mooresville Times in January 1970. During this time Robert Adams retained an interest in the Mooresville Times. Wendell Holt became publisher and Robert Adams remained editor. Randy Haymaker succeeded Adams as editor in June 1971. Robert S. Kendall son of Wilber Kendall became owner of the Mooresville Times in April 1977. At this time Mark C. Kendall son of Robert S. Kendall became the publisher of the Mooresville Times.
