Mueyiwa Omatsola born 10, October 1991, was crowned Mr Universe Nigeria 2015^[1] after edging out 22 other contestants.^[2] Mueyiwa was born and raised in Lagos Nigeria to parents Elizabeth and Michael Omatsola. Mueyiwa's agenda on the competition was raising awareness for prostrate cancer in Nigerian Men.^[3] An illness that claims the lives of over 20,000 Nigerians every year. Following his win, he started trending in celebrity news in Nigeria after it was published on Linda Ikeji Blog,^[4] Naira Land^[5], Stella Dimokokorkus^[6] and Pulse Ng^[7] Mueyiwa is currently based in Lagos Nigeria as a Model, Fashion Designer and Brand Influencer.

Prior to wining Mr Universe 2015, Mueyiwa contested for Mr Unilag 2013 but never made it to top six. In his interview with R2TV Breakfast show shortly after wining Mr Universe 2015, he talked about not making it to top ten. "I was not prepared for the event and you know this thing, the judges will know when you are not prepared for it"^[8]. He later mentioned that this experience helped him to discover himself and grow closer to his family which eventually gave him the confidence to contest at other peagants before eventully wining the Mr Universe Nigeria competition in 2015.

Mueyiwa has been featured in top Model Shoots with Transformaz and Smooki. He was featured in Qhue Men of Qhue Magazine posing nude in support of his campaign for cancer awareness^[9] He was also featured as the Sexiest Man in Nigeria by Links & Glitz Magazine^[10] and appeared on the cover of the magazine alongside actress Mercy Aigbe.

Mueyiwa was born and raised catholic. His mum Elizabeth (Lizzie) is also a fitness expert and has participated successfully in national and international Marathons raising money for charity. He is the first of 4 children. Monoyo, Eyitemi and Nere. He attended Whitesands secondary school where he set record for his school in High Jumps wining several medals for the school. He went on to study Actuarial Science and Insurance in University of Lagos.

Mueyiwa described his upbringing as rather strict and has formed him into the strong man that he is today. Mueyiwa proposed to his girlfriend after giving her a promise ring a year before the engagement. The two are set to get married in a private ceremony in November 2020. Mueyiwa is a full time fashion designer and a Model ^[11]
