MUSTAJAB-UDDIN MALIK is a disciple of the great Theatre personality Late Habib Tanvir and worked with his 'Naya Theatre' for many years. He has Written and Directed some award winning Hindi Plays like "Bahut Andhera Hai ", "Kahin Kisi More Pe "and " Recall" among others. He was also awarded a Fellowship by Ministry of culture, Government of India. He was also a Former Member Culture Board - Association of Indian Universities (AI U). Govt. of India Also a Film Festival Director of "International Youth Film Festival" , New Delhi Directed A Documentary Film "BAZAAR KARTE HAIN BAATEIN- NAYE PURANEY ZAMANEY KI" FOR RAJYA SABHA TV, MAHAMANA , a Docu- drama on the life, work and inspiration of Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya" . Recently completed a Docu Dram Series "CHARAGH - E - HIND" FOR ZEE CHANNEL. Also have Directed many documentaries for Doordarshan ,some of them are as follows KAAL: concept of time in India KITAB KI KAHANI: from Oral recitation to printing press. KAPREY KA SAFAR: story of cloth in India TAKILA is written and directed by him , This is his first movie for the big screen.

He was born and Brought up in Aligarh Muslim University.
