Nathalie Martinez born on February 23, 1973 in Bobigny (France), she moved to Valencia (Spain) in 1980. BiographyGraduated in Media and Communication with PhD Studies on Cinema and Education, she is working since 1999 on cinema and television. With consolidated experience in this area since 2003, during her career she produced live action feature films as well as animation. She has also worked as executive producer and line producer in several feature films and tv movies for other companies, as well as a sales agent for distribution companies in Spain. In 2005, she founded the independent film company Somnia Cinema (aka Somnia Ars) with Maxi Valero, where she produced the feature films Listening to Gabriel and The Butterflies Man, multi-awarded movies along several film festivals. The Butterflies Man was part of the official selection of Festival de Cine Español de Malaga in 2011 and was honored as the movie selected for the big closing night at the Festival. She also produced the tv movie Four Seasons, awarded as best movie with the prestigious Gaudi Award in 2011. Since 2013, she developed her career focusing on animation production for several short films, commercials and animation tv movies. In 2014, she founded Blue Dream Studios Spain, a CGI animation studio focused on animated movies. While building the new studio, she was also in production of the animated feature Animal Crackers[1], featuring the voices of John Krasinsky, Emily Blunt, Ian McKellen, Danny de Vito and Sylvester Stallone. She is producer and line-producer of the movie which was finalized in 2017, under the direction of Tony Bancroft. Animal Crackers world premiere was in the prestigious Annecy Animation Film Festival in 2017, as part of the seven movies in the official competition that year. The movie also premiered in Spain for the first time in June 2017, as the opening movie for the Cinema Jove Film Festival. In 2017, she founded Wise Blue Studios along with other partners[2], a new umbrella which gather companies based both in Spain and the USA. Since founding Wise Blue Studios, Nathalie Martinez has been producing several projects for, both, live action and animation. During the last term of 2018, the tv series Mass Grave, the shortfilm The Watchmaker and the animated preschool show Hero Dad, have been in different stages of production at Wise Blue Studios. Also in 2018, Nathalie Martinez started the preproduction of the animated feature MiBots. In May 2018, a Variety exclusive[3] announced writer Rob Edwards (The Princess and the Frog, Treasure Planet) joining the 100-minute family comedy as lead screenwriter[4], based on an original story by Maxi Valero.
