In india, National Ayurveda Day is observed on Dhanvantari Jayanti i.e thirteenth day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Karthika. Dhanvantri Jayanti mostly known as Dhanteras.[1] Dhanvantri is the god of Ayurveda[2]. So Indian Government has decided to celebrate National Ayurveda on Dhanteras every year. It was first observed on 28th October 2016.[3] Logo of National Ayurveda has Dhanvantri god in the centre surrounded by five petals which symbolises the pancha Mahabhuta[4]. |
