Neutral Ground News is an online American news satire and entertainment publication based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 2014, Neutral Ground News is one of the top 39 publications in Louisiana, #37 on the [https://blog.feedspot.com/satire_blogs/ Top 60 Satire Websites and Blogs on the Web], and #12 on the [https://blog.feedspot.com/new_orleans_news_websites/ Top 15 New Orleans News Websites]. Its double entendre motto is "In the middle of it all."

It features satirical articles reporting on local news in business, entertainment, general news, politics, science/technology, and sports. The website's humor-centric content focuses on current events, both real and fictional, and aims to parody traditional news organizations.

Biz New Orleans, a business news, commentary, and analysis of New Orleans and its surrounding area, said ‘Neutral Ground News’ Provides Parody Paradise For Regional Readers[1] in an extensive write-up on the growing outlet.

Capitalizing on the outlet's popularity with locals, WGNO-TV's News with a Twist frequently references Neutral Ground News in its new weekly segment 'What Do You Meme?[2][3]'

Neutral Ground News originally launched as a tribute to The New Orleans Levee, a highly acclaimed predecessor, to carry on and expand the satirical traditions the former had started in response to the failures of local, state and federal governments in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans.

Neutral Ground News became the chief founding member of the Louisiana Satire Network in April 2018, a unique alliance of the state's top satirical publications. The network, comprised of Neutral Ground News in New Orleans, The Red Shtick in Baton Rouge, The Push Pole in Houma, The Daily Crawfish in Lafayette, and The Crayfish News in Shreveport, is the only one of its kind in the nation.

In October 2018, the publication started a popular petition[4] to rename the city's Lee Circle in honor of New Orleans Saints start quarterback Drew Brees. In December 2018, Neutral Ground News was included in satirical research[5] by Knight-Cronkite News Lab at Arizona State University's Cronkite School of Journalism.

Neutral Ground News can be found online at neutralgroundnews.com as well as on its popular Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram social media pages.
