Nicholous DealNicholous Deal is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia. He currently serves as the Assistant Pastor of a church in the Fairview community of Halifax. Nick is also a doctoral candidate at SMU and a part-time lecturer in business and communication studies programs. Nicholous began teaching in the post-secondary sphere at Mount Vincent University University in the winter (January – April) semester of 2016. His first class was Organizational Context of Public Relations, a course focussed on the function of public relations practices within organizations. His first time in the classroom was well-received by his students, with students self-reporting high ratings given at his end-of-term evaluations. Nicholous incorporated student feedback into his everyday lectures, even dedicating a class to workshopping their LinkedIn profiles. Now in 2019, Nicholous is teaching numerous courses at the Mount, including New Media in Public Communications.
