Nick Thorkelson is a Boston-based cartoonist and activist who has authored and illustrated several books. His work has also appeared in many labor and community organizing materials.[1]

Personal Life

Thorkelson studied history at University of Wisconsin-Madison. He formerly worked for the Boston Globe. He is a former Students for a Democratic Society member.[2]

Impact

His books have been mentioned in The New York Times [3] [4] as well as OC Weekly [5] for exploration of Beat figures and culture as well as radical left movements.
