Nikhil did his schooling from Dominic Savio High School and graduated from Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management and studied filmmaking from XIC, Mumbai. CareerNikhil Venugopalan started his career in 2007 as agency producer and produced ad films for Aqua guard, Force motors, United breweries. Among TV shows Nikhil has produced Dus ka Dum, Chak de Bachhe and Pogo Amazing Kids Awards with Aamir Khan. After a stint at Sony Entertainment and Star TV, Nikhil teamed up with a friend to form Merakii Films where he wrote and directed the award winning film for Teach for India. In 2015, Nikhil joined Television Mogul Ekta Kapoor to launch Alt Balaji - one of India's first premium OTT platforms. 2016 marked the beginning of Nikhil's stint with Zee5 with shows like 'Zero KM's, a thriller starring Naseeruddin Shah, Karenjit Kaur, a biopic on Sunny Leone, Babbar ka tabbar starring Manu Rishi Ayesha Raza and 'Akoori', a satire starring Darshan Jariwalla and Lilette Dubey. Among regional films are America Mappillai (Tamil), Horn OK please and Liftman(Marathi). Nikhil has also written and directed multiple ad films for brands like BigFM, Intex, Videocon, Relispray, Electrolux and more. Nikhil has won various awards for his work. Filmography
