About NITTE School of Management NITTE School of Management is situated in Bangalore in Karnataka state of India. It is an autonomous institution offering Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The college also offers Executive PGDM in Business Analytics. It is an AICTE[1] approved college in Yelahanka, Bangalore. NITTE School of Management belongs to Nitte Education Trust which is a pioneer in education service in India. Justice Hegde, conceived the idea of a trust, which would provide basic education, health care and train manpower. Thus,was born the Nitte Education Trust. It was Justice K S Hegde, the founder was the prime mover of the Trust. With emphasis being laid on education, the Trust established a high school at Nitte in 1979. Today, the Nitte Education Trust comprises a medical, dental and 5 paramedical colleges, a 720 bed specialty hospital, 2 engineering colleges, 2 MBA institutes, 2 MCA institutes, a college of hotel management, 2 technical training institutes, 2 first grade colleges, 2 pre-university colleges, 5 schools and a 3-star hotel – in all 23 institutions with 10,000 students, 3,500 staff and 18,500 alumni. Courses Offered by NITTE School of Management1) PGDM ProgramNitte School of Management (NSM) offers autonomous PGDM program approved by AICTE and it is a two year full time course designed on the basis of industry needs. Academic autonomy at NSM helps in changing the curriculum on the basis of current industry trends. The courses are designed to provide strong foundation in each management discipline apart from developing relevant practical skills. New courses are added in each specialization and content for each course is updated at regular intervals. NSM has developed close network with industries and this helps in getting necessary inputs for updating the curriculum. These efforts ensure that the program is on par with best in class. 2) Executive PGDM in Business Analytics Nitte School of Management, envisioned and established to offer management education that is highly industry relevant, has recognized the above need for upskilling and reskilling and has started Executive PGDM in Business Analytics. The course is an AICTE Approved, 15 months course that has a blend of theory and practical sessions and is taught by highly experienced professionals in the area of Business Analytics.
