Her childhood was spent at various Pietermaritzburg boarding schools, which led to her enrolling at the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_KwaZulu-Natal University of KwaZulu Natal] at the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_KwaZulu-Natal#Pietermaritzburg_campus Pietermaritzburg Campus], where she graduated with a BComm Degree majoring in Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Economics. Ironically, this is where she discovered her gift and love for poetry.
