Oliver Ripley (born 2^nd September 1980) is a British entrepreneur and investor.

He was born on 2^nd September 1980 in Chertsey, United Kingdom and educated at Eton College and Oxford University.

Career

In 2005 Oliver co-founded [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ocean_Group_International&oldid=799328739 Ocean Group], a private holding company that builds and operates businesses in high-growth industries such as aviation, real estate, and technology..^[1].

In 2010 Ripley co-founded Black Ocean^[2] which is a technology investment group that invested in Elite Daily^[3] and Kite.ly^[4] among others.

In 2016 Black Ocean invested in a motorcycle company MV Agusta Spa^[5], acquiring the shares from Mercedes Benz AMG^[6].

In 2016 Ripley co-founded Habitas, a global hospitality group, with operations in New York, Los Angeles and Mexico^[7]. Habitas opened it's first hotel in Tulum in 2017^[8] with active construction in Malibu, the Bahamas and Namibia^[9].

Personal Life

Oliver Ripley married Jeisa Chiminazzo at Lake Como in 2013^[10]. They divorced in 2015 and he has been dating Portuguese model Sara Sampaio since 2016^[11]^[12].

Oliver is the co-founder of White Ocean (2011-2017)^[13], a Burning Man sound camp that was vandalized in 2016^[14]. White Ocean subsequently donated it's infrastructure to refugee projects^[15]
