4. Ose Arheghan

Ose Arheghan is an activist for mental health awareness and LGBT rights. They are a student advocate for GLSEN.

Early Life

Ose Arheghan grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio. They began openly identifying as non-binary and using they/them pronouns in 2013 while they were in 8th grade. Arheghan began their activism in high school. They worked to change their school's anti-discrimination policies to protect people of different sexual orientations.^[1]

Activism

Arheghan visited the Ohio State House to speak to legislators to advocate for LGBT youth in 2016 and 2017^[2] Arheghan lobbied in Washington D.C. in September of 2017^[1]. They are currently a Student Organizer for Advocates for Youth^[2] <ref>2<ref>
