Otosirieze Obi-Young (born 1994) is a Nigerian writer, editor, former academic, and literary blogger. He is deputy editor of the African literary journal Brittle Paper[1]. His short stories and literary commentary have appeared in The Threepenny Review[2], Transition, and Dazed Digital[1]. His work focuses on sexuality and literary culture[3][4][5][6][7]. He is represented by David Godwin Associates literary agency[8].

Education and Career

Otosirieze Obi-Young was born in Aba, Nigeria. He studied English and History at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He taught English at Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu. He is completing a postgraduate degree in African Studies[9].

In 2018, he was named a judge for the Gerald Kraak Prize, an initiative for writing and visual art about on gender, social justice and sexuality[10]. He is an editor at 14, Nigeria’s first queer art collective. He is the founder of the Art Naija Series anthologies which include Enter Naija: The Book of Places[11] and Work Naija: The Book of Vocations[12].
