Oubeid Allah Mecheri ({{lang-ar|عبيدالله مشري}}), was born 1986 in Constantine (Algeria), known professionally as Oubeid Mecheri, is an Algerian Youtuber, fashion photographer, filmmaker and an activist who takes interest in women's rights in his country. He's also a known supporter of the feminist movement in Algeria. BiographyEraly life & educationOubeid Mecheri was born on November 6, 1986 in Constantine for a conservative family, he's the olderst brother of 2 sisters and 1 brother. He spent most of his childhood moving between Ain Beida & Ain Mlila in Wilaya of Oum El Bouaghi, due to his father's job in education. After graduating from highschool in 2006, he chose to study translation in Mentouri University in Constantine. He graduated from it in 2010. MusicWhen he was 16 years old, Oubeid discovered rap music through the American rapper Eminem, he quickly got influenced by him and strated learning his songs, then trying to emitate him by writing his own songs. Later in 2010, he met with 3 local rappers and formed the group Constaphilo, the group was later dismateled in 2012. Professional careerHe taught english at university for 2 years as a replacement teacher, then he worked in hospitaly business for 4 years between several Marriott and Accor. Photography, filmmaking and YoutubeAfter quitting hospitality business in 2016, Oubeid decided that he wants to focus more on blogging, along with making a career out of photography and filmmaking. He works with a local fashion designer Meriem.K, and focuses on treating social issues especially women opression and sexual harssement. In his interview with TV channel Ennahar TV he stated, "...our problem in this society is that we normalized things that can't be normal, we see is as normal when you harass a woman verbally in the street, they do that because they can't put themselves in her shoes, she probably hears that a hundred times everyday, they don't care about the psycholgical impact it will have on that woman..."
