Owl Company was formed in November 18th 2013 when Enrico Minelli invited Felipe Ruiz to arrange some songs together in Santana de Parnaíba (São Paulo). At that time Enrico used to live in Los Angeles with his extinct band Cruz. After some online chatting and a few songs written, they bring to the band Thiago Biasoli and Bruno Pompeo.

In January 8th 2015 they did the first rehearsal with this line up what ended on 2 songs arranged “Condescend” and “Bones”. So the group decided to release these songs virtually on an EP called “Chapter 1”.

In 2016 after a few gigs in great festivals and important venues in São Paulo, with Condescend being played at the 2 biggest radios in São Paulo (89FM) and in Rio de Janeiro (Radio Cidade FM) they release two more songs “Death Race” and “Holy Son” on another EP “Chapter Two”.

It was time to the band release their first album. But in between there were some changes in the band line up. Bruno Pompeo left the band just after the recording process of what would be their debut album. What was an issue quickly solved when they bring on the great friend and musician Fabio Yamamoto to fill the bass position. But it wasn’t all. They felt a need to add another guitar to the band, so that happened when they bring Bruno Solera on. A quintet Owl Company has formed.

The first single was released a bit earlier called “Riddles” with a huge acceptation on the US.

With a great acceptation of Horizon in the US, the band arranged a concert at the iconic venue The Viper Room in Los Angeles in September 4th 2017. That time the band met the great producer Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Maroon 5, 3 Doors Down), witch produced a single called “Pieces” released by the label Eclipse Records on May 2018.

With a deal to release the following album with the label the band released 2 singles “Shattered Dreams” and “Rise” of this second full-length album “Iris”, soon to be release this November 9th through Eclipse Records.

Characteristics

Owl Company combines Hard Rock influences from the 70’s to 90’s blended with modern rage and brutality to create a sound that is fresh, aggressive and engaging. Their compositions walks through the stoner rock to a modern alternative metal with catchy choruses that makes you sing at the first listen.

Horizon mainly tells stories about Enrico’s father. He is a survivor for the second world war.

Iris approaches themes about things that just happened on Enrico’s life lately.
