The Palace Sternberg is situated in the 3rd District of Vienna, Landstraße, on the street Ungarngasse 43. It is the only remaining palace on the street Ungarngasse. HistoryThe palace was built between 1820 and 1821 as a classical suburbian palace. The draft is attributed to the parisan architect Charles de Moreau. The building process was done under the architect Karl Ehmann. In 1870, the Bohemian noble family Sternberg acquired the palace. In the 1930s, the palace became the property of the Italian State. Today it houses the Italian Consulate and the Italian Cultural Institute. Weblinks
