Parmanu is a technical term in Jainism. It is defined as the smallest Matter particle that cannot be further divided. It is one of the two types of Matter. Other type is Skandha.^[1]

It also helps define smallest measure of space. All the Parmanus occupy exactly same amount of space. The measure of the space occupied by one Parmanu is called Pradesha.
