Parveen YaqoobProfessor Parveen Yaqoob is Pro Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) and Professor of Food and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Reading.[1] BiographyYaqoob received her BA in Physiological Sciences in 1990 and her DPhil in 1994, from the University of Oxford. Her first post-doctoral psoition was also at the University of Oxford, 1994-1997. In 1997, she moved to the University of Southampton. She then became a lecturer at the University of Reading in 1998 and was promoted to Reader in 2003. In 2010, she became Professor and Head of the School of Chemistry, Food & Pharmacy in 2015. Yaqoob's research focuses on diet, ageing, immune function/inflammation and vascular function.
