Patrick Domo, born on the 15th of June 1995 is a painter from Germany, whose work has been shown by art galleries across multiple countries.[1] [2] The artist lives and works in southern Germany and has exhibited his work in various group and solo exhibitions.[3] As a self taught artist he paints large format portrait paintings depicting the human face and body with a mix of abstraction and realism. WorkIconsThe series Icons shows notable personas from multiple areas of pop culture and history. It deals with the character but also with the social reception. Techniques such as the different use of gravity or the degree of expressivity in the painting process illustrate this reception. The subtle choice of colors further enhances the intensity and meaning of individual paintings. Che, for instance, is shown in the midst of a blood-soaked, chaotic scene that makes the social circumstances of his time clear.[4] UntitledThe series Untitled deals with the emotion and the inner nature of the depicted scene. Untitled thus completely dispenses with the real representation of the figure in order to better grasp the true core. The painting technique of this series emphasizes the vanitas motif and the fleeting spirit, which is difficult to grasp. The subtle choice of colors creates a basic tone that further emphasizes the intensity and meaning of individual paintings.
