PD-LYSO is a rationally designed peptide for targeting PD-L1 to lysosome. It was reported in a paper published in [https://doi.org/10.1038/s41589-018-0161-x Nature Chemical Biology] entitled "HIP1R targets PD-L1 to lysosomal degradation to alter T cell–mediated cytotoxicity". The sequence of PD-LYSO was modified from two functional motifs of the HIP1R protein, which was found to regulate the trafficking of PD-L1 to lysosome. PD-LYSO was suggested as a pro-drug that functions by a different mechanism than existing PD-L1 antibody drugs.
