He is the head of the board of trustees at Liberalni institut, Center of behavioural and experimental economics (CEBEX)[1] and Institute of behavioural and economic studies (INBES)[2]. He is a devoted defender of classical liberalism and free market and a regular contributor to various media. EducationKoblovsky graduated from Masaryk University, Law Faculty in Brno and moved to Prague to study at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the University of Economics, Prague. While studying finance, he also joined Ph.D. programme at Charles University, Faculty of Law. After 2 years of working in Ceskoslovenska obchodni banka, he left to study management at Aalto University (CEMS MIM programme with University of Economics, Prague). Later, he graduated from a LL.M. in Finance programme at ILF, Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. He also studied in Ph.D. program at the University of Economics, Prague, Faculty of Public Administration, which he left ABD for disagreements with the dean of the faculty. He spent a year at Harvard Law School as a visiting researcher working on his Ph.D. theses and participating in several courses of Steven Pinker and Cass Sunstein. He graduated from Yale Law School with a LL.M. degree in 2008. CareerAfter he graduated from Masaryk University, he joined Ceskoslovenska obchodni banka as an expert on capital market transactions. After leaving the bank, he started teaching at the University of Economics, Prague (introductory course on economics) fully devoted to his Ph.D. research. He was later accommodated as a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School where he started focusing on behavioural law and economics. After he graduated from Yale Law School, he returned to the Czech Republic and started working as a Czech law qualified attorney with White & Case, while part time teaching at the University of Economics, Prague (behavioural law and economics, behavioural economics, law and economics). He worked in a banking team of Allen and Overy for over 2 years and was seconded for 6 months with European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. In 2012, he qualified to practice law in New York and joined Liberalni institute as director. Later he started cooperating with Kocian Solc Balastik, the top transaction law firm in the Czech Republic, on M&A and finance deals and in 2018 he moved to DLA Piper.[3] Throughout his “business” career he has been teaching at several universities and giving regular public lectures (also for New York Bar Association). He has been working as a part-time associate professor at Cevro Institute[4] and New York University in Prague. Koblovsky is also an arbitrator (judge) at the Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic.[5] Pedagogical CareerKoblovsky is a strong supporter of individual liberties and holds strong pro-market views. He served as director of Liberalni institute a Czech classical-liberalism think tank for over 3 years[6] and regularly publishes articles with pro-market topics in the media.
