Shri Pravin Kumar Thakur is 2008 batch IES officer. He is executive engineer in CPWD western branch. He cleared Upsc examination in 2008 and got 47th rank in his maiden attempt. He has civil engineering degree from patna university. He is singer,painter, and guitarist as well. Early life and educationShri Thakur was born in Bihar to Prabhu Narayan Thakur and Pramila Thakur on 10th JAN 1984. He is the eldest in his family .His father is an engineer and mother was house wife. Despite coming from an avarage background, he did not break wings of his dreams.. His struggle started at a very young age and he got through all of them with flying colors. He was topper through out his schooling. He is gold medalist in his engineering collage . After engineering he got job in private sector but he was not satisfied there. So after sometime he went for his dream job "upsc". During the prepration, it was disovered that his mother had third stage cancer. He did not leave studies even during this tragic stage and achieved success. After that he never turned back. CareerHis first posting was in north east , where he tried really hard to prove himself. During his ten year of service ,he completed multiple astonishing works,in Which most difficult and almost impossible was Income tax project(mumbai), which could be built in the four years only because him. Earlier, many officers were only able to make the foundation of this project , but because of Pravin's tireless effort and hard work this first of its kind project was completed. Due to successfull completion and remarkable result this project is under nomination for best structure in PMO . Pravin Thakur's name will definitely be taken along with this project always. Any person is identified by his actions and Shri Praveen is an example of an individual and as a Gazzeted officer who will continue to inspire everyone in the coming years.We wish to do such amazingly ambitious work from Shri Pravin in the future and wish them good luck.
