The Puerto Rican men's national lacrosse team is governed by Puerto Rico Lacrosse.

History

In 2017, Puerto Rico became the 56th member of the Federation of International Lacrosse and immediately became able to compete in tournaments as an associate member.^[1]

In preparation for its first major international tournament, the 2018 World Lacrosse Championship, Puerto Rico held tryouts.

World Championships

In its first World Championships, Puerto Rico came in unranked but knocked off Wales and Bermuda and in group play to top the Bronze Group.^[2] In the knockout rounds, Puerto Rico would defeat New Zealand, Germany, and Japan before falling to the Iroquios National 14-7 in the quarterfinals. Puerto Rico is set to face England in the 5A semifinal on July 19, 2018.
