The music consists of powerful vocals, poetry, traditional Rajasthani female dancers, male dancers dressed in drag (an art developed in a time when women were not allowed to dance in public), and fakir acrobats who perform traditional stunts including fire dancing and breathing. Rahis is eldest of five brothers, including tabla players Amrat Hussain and Teepu Khan, and singer Sanjay Khan. He is the son of musician Ustad Rafeek Mohammed, and grandson musician Ustad Rasool Buxkhan.
