In 2011, after completing his high school education, Bains decided to move to Mumbai for studying Filmmaking and joined Whistlingwoods International. Career2014After completing his studies at Whistling Woods International in 2013 , Bains came back to Punjab and decided to direct a Punjabi feature film. In 2014, Bains came up with his debut directorial 'Oh My Pyo' starring Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, Nirmal Rishi, Sardar Sohi, Bhanushree Mehra and others. Bains was 20 when he started directing his debut film, making him the youngest director in the industry. He Produced and co-directed the film along with his former batchmate. But before the release, Bains' partner Niharika Sahni with her wrongful and malicious intentions to usurp the film, removed Bains' name from the credits. Bains filed a legal suit against his partner for copyright and IPRs infringement. This film not only marked the comeback of legendary actor Priti Sapru after 19 years of break but also introduced the rising rockstar Jordan Sandhu. The film did fairly well on the box office despite of another two film competing on the same day and earned a lot of appreciation from the audiance. Bains is more focused on his music career after the release of his film and has announced his Solo Album by end of the year. The film was stayed by the Ld. Court. The film released later on 13 Jun with the case still proceeding the court. On 20th February 2019, The hon' Court passed a judgment declaring Rai Yuvraj Bains to be the rightful copyright holder in the film and granted him the credits of Co-Producer and Co-Director in the film along with the remuneration of Rs. 10 lac paid to him By Niharika Sahni along with his financial share in the accounts to be declared by Niharika Sahni.
