Ravi Patel (September 19, 1985) is a first-generation[1] Indian-American entrepreneur, investor, hotelier, and former candidate for the United States House of Representatives.[2] He is President of family-owned Hawkeye Hotels and Co-Founder of Built By Iowa (BBI).[3] Hawkeye HotelsRavi joined his family's business Hawkeye Hotels in 2006.[4] During the recession in 2008 and 2009, Ravi led the company in increasing its assets from 12 to 30 hotels.[5] Today the asset value of Hawkeye Hotels is estimated at over $750 million.[6] Notable ProjectsThe Hawkeye Hotels headquarters are now located in Coralville, Iowa.[7] Recent developments and renovations include:
