He has lectured nationally and internationally. His clinical interests include sedation practices, operating room efficiency, and patient safety. He is a a co-founder of IPSO (Incubator for Patient Safety and Outcomes).[6] He directs the Perioperative Medicine Fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, and helped establish the Center for Perioperative Research focused on multidisciplinary health services research.
