Richie Etwaru (born January 2, 1976) is an author.^[1] and entrepreneur ^[2] who has founded several companies aimed at improving welfare through blockchain innovation. ^[3] He’s currently the founder and CEO of Hu-manity.co, ^[4] an organization championing the 31st Human Right for individuals to own their data as property, and has given TEDx Talk’s to international audiences.^[5]

Early life

Etwaru was born in Blairmont, Guyana ^[6], to two school teacher parents. In 1992, he moved to Queens, New York City.

Hu-manity.co

In March, 2018, Etwaru founded Hu-manity.co ^[7]. Hu-manity.co ^[8] is the company behind the 31st Human Right and the #My31 movement. This human right would be added to 30 human rights established by the United Nations in 1948.

Books

Etwaru is the author of two books: Corporate Awesome Sauce: Success Rules for Generation Y, published in 2015, and named by INC Magazine as one of the top 10 leadership books of 2015.^[9] Later he published Blockchain: Trust Companies: Every Company Is at Risk of Being Disrupted by a Trusted Version of Itself ^[10] in 2017. Both books were published by DogEars Publishing. He’s also a contributing writer on Huffington Post^[11] and CIO ^[12]
